About 3D CURE

Our Mission: Bridging Gaps with Innovation

3D CURE is dedicated to bridging the gap in orthopedic care in Ethiopia and beyond through innovative 3D printing technology.

In Ethiopia, where there are only about 600 orthopedic surgeons for a population of 100 million, proper orthopedic care is often inaccessible. Our goal is to employ 3D printing technology, innovating traditional casts and prosthetics to make healthcare more affordable and accessible.

Starting from Ethiopia, we aim to expand across Africa, producing high-quality, affordable orthopedic solutions that improve patients' lives.

Features & Benefits

Lightweight Design

Our 3D-printed orthoses are significantly lighter than traditional casts, allowing patients to maintain their daily activities with minimal discomfort.

Waterproof

Unlike traditional plaster casts, our orthoses are waterproof, allowing patients to shower, swim, and maintain their hygiene without concerns.

Breathability

The perforated, honeycomb design allows for air circulation, preventing skin maceration and reducing the risk of cutaneous infections.

Custom Fitted

Each orthosis is precisely mapped to the contours of the patient's body using 3D scanning technology, ensuring optimal support and comfort.

Hygienic

The design prevents itchiness and odor associated with traditional casts, improving patient comfort and compliance with treatment.

Medical Examination Friendly

Our orthoses facilitate easier medical examinations and monitoring of the healing process, as they can be temporarily removed when necessary.

Impact Statistics

Our work addresses critical needs in pediatric orthopedic care across Ethiopia.

Our Process

1

3D Scanning

We scan the patient's injured body part to create a digital model, mapping every contour for a perfect fit. Next, Our engineers design a custom orthosis

2

Design & Print

The custom orthosis is tailored to the patient's specific needs, which is then 3D printed using biocompatible materials.

3

Delivery & Support

The finished orthosis is fitted to the patient, ensuring comfort and functionality, with follow-up support throughout the treatment.
